January Bellabox

Look what arrived in the mail for me today! Makes up for working on a 39 degree day :P

The box was quite heavy, which was very promising, however, I felt that the contents were a little underwhelming (in order words...no makeup!!). I guess last months box had a lot of makeup, so this month felt more like a skincare box? That being said, I will still end up using almost everything in the box so no loss there! :)
You, Me & Everybody Cool It Aloe Vera Gel
I'm actually quite happy to receive this! It is made from 98.5% Aloe Vera, which will make my mum happy since I always just rip off some Aloe Vera leaves from her garden whenever I get a burn! I'm curious to see how this compares to using 100% organic aloe vera (ie plucked straight from the plant!)

Face Of Australia Makeup Purifying Cleansing Wipes
When BB announced that it was an all Aussie brands box, I suspected that FOA would be included - I just hoped it was a lipstick or other makeup item. However, I did just run out of my makeup wipes, so I am happy to try these out, and it also saves me a trip to priceline (which usually ends up with me buying more than I intended!)
Mode Nail Polish in Hot Stuff
YAY nail polish! Unfortunately I have about a million shades of hot pink! You can receive either 'Hot Stuff' or 'Rave'n' so I'm curious to see what the other colour was! This will be going to my sister since she always steals my polishes - now she has one of her own and has no excuse to steal mine!
Swisse Body Wash
I will probably not end up using this. I am in complete LOVE with my Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Wash and it smells divine, so I have no intention of using a different body wash! This will go into my emergency toiletries bag at work!
Natio BB Cream
Although its just a sachet, you can get a few good uses out of it! I received one in the mail from Natio a few weeks ago and I got about 4-5 applications out of it. My tip is to empty it into a little jar (thats when those adorn sample pots come in handy!) so that it doesn't dry out in the sachet. Unfortunately I actually need to use the light BB cream, so this will also go to my sister!
Also got a cute little hedgehog wall decal! Hedgehogs are so cute!

That's what I received this month, what did you get?

  1. Thanks for sharing, this is kinda underwhelming, I too would like to see more make up in the boxes, I have no use for a wall decal and jan really isn't the month to get body wash and creams with christmas just out of the way (I got tons of them from friends and family). I too need the light sachet and wonder if Natio would swap them in store?

    1. Yeah I understand what you mean about the whole bodywashes thing! I'm not sure if you could swap the samples - I got mine mailed out to me, and I've never seen an Natio representatives at Natio counters! If it does work, please let me know though! xo

  2. I guess this box is "ok".... where's the Jurlique product that was advertised in the sneak peak!!!! I've noticed that the people who get the later batches always receive department brands like Inika, Lancome, Bobbi Brown.... etc while the early batches receive priceline products. I've already received Swisse and You Me & everybody products from previous boxes... I hope they won't double up...but the aloe gel and wipes are pretty neat products for the box.

    1. Yeah I miss the days when we all got an equal mix of high end and low end products :( I understand that this is an Australian box, but there are plenty of high end Aussie brands! Hope you get a better box than I did! xo

  3. I did not like this box at all, as I already have two of those things from other boxes! Such a shame :(

    1. I just saw your comment! I thought the facewipes were familiar, and that they came in December LHI but when I saw my reviews for them I thought maybe I was just hallucinating! HAHA
Maybe next month will be better, seeing how they usually have a cute valentines theme!

  4. I'm starting to realize that these boxes really aren't as "luxury" as they claim to be. But as you said in the comment above, I hope that Feb is a cute V-Day box ... hopefully with more makeup items in their for those going on dates and what not. Great review! xx

    1. I know what you mean! I've tried a lot of beauty boxes that always feature full size products that you can get from coles or priceline, and miniature samples of the luxury brands if we are lucky, but I can't bear to unscubscribe in case the next month is a good box :P I'm just sucked in every month!
